Royce is a native Oklahoman. He spent his childhood in the Tulsa area and currently resides in Stillwater, with his wife, where they raised their 5 children. Royce has spent the last 40+ years navigating the criminal justice system of Oklahoma. During this time as a trial lawyer he has taken countless cases to trial and represented the best interest of many clients. He has a vast knowledge of Oklahoma criminal law and will zealously fight for YOUR rights.
Royce completed his undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He got his start in criminal law as an Assistant District Attorney in 1977, where he successfully prosecuted many notable cases. In 1981, Royce decided to establish a private practice and moved to Perry, then settled in Stillwater in 1997. As a private practice attorney Royce has represented a variety of clients in criminal (capital and non-capital) cases, both privately retained and as a contract public defender for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System. Royce has also represented clients in divorce proceedings involving child custody, visitation, and support obligations; juvenile law including guardianships, delinquent and deprived cases; personal injury cases involving auto accidents; estate administration of probates, preparation of wills and trust documents; real estate transactions involving both commercial and residential transactions; and oil and gas surface damages and transactions. Royce currently represents privately retained clients in central Oklahoma, including the counties of Payne, Noble, Lincoln, Pawnee and Logan Counties.
